Last November I along with Chris Dugdale and Sonic were flown out to entertain at the SoccerEx Global Convention V.I.P. party that took place on top of the Sugarloaf Mountain in Rio de Janeiro in Brazil.
When in Rio… We had a couple of days to acclimatize and see the sights before the job at hand. We followed the tourist trail and took the tram up the Corcovado Mountain. The view is truly spectacular. It’s hard to capture how breathtaking the view is in a photo.
The gig itself went amazingly and really was a real blast. The invited guests included many of the movers and shakers and top-brass of the international football world. We were also joined buy a number of the 1970 world cup champions. After the show we got to enjoy a few of the native Cachaca cocktails.
It was truly grand little adventure and a very nice way to see in the Christmas season. A stark contrast to the minus figure temperatures that met me when I got back to the UK.
